Happy Anniversary xxxx

This weekend me and my lovely Marky are celebrating 6years of being together!

I have decided to make a card using Love Letter paper which is one of my favourits but you have to be quick as they are retiring at the end of September  :-(

(I have put the 6 on there to remind Mark how long we have been together!!!)

The birds are a punch called Two Step Bird Punch and I have used the tiny tags set and punch (which is stay yay!!) to finish the card off.

I really hope he likes it! We are off out to see Inbetweeners this afternoon and a little bit of tea and may be a glass of wine or two!!

Slowly getting back!!

I have been away for a few months trying to get my craft bug back. Summer is always a difficult time for me to get motivated and with our new garden being all finished I have spent most of my time out there (if I haven't been working!) So I am sorry that I haven't been around but I am slowly starting to get my craft bug back!!

It started yesterday when I needed something to do but didn't even know where to start let alone what to make. Then I remember something that I seen and played around and this is what I came up with...

I am a massive fan of the keep calm stuff and have seen this sloggan around on a few peoples blogs. I love it and going to get Mark to put it on my wall in the craft room (spare room!!)

Today I have had a play with the owl punch that I love so much and made a wedding card taken inspiration from a blog I have seen but cannot remember whos!

Right I am off for a cuppa and another surf to get some inspiration for a little girls birthday card!

Hope to be back sooner that last time!!

Belated Birthdays

I have the biggest apology to two of the girls from Julies Jems cause I missed their birthdays last week.

I have popped a card in the post to wish them a belated birthday and they should have received them by now and I hope that they make up for being late (promise I will try harder next year and send them on time!)

This first card is for Karen - it was her birthday on the Royal Wedding so I felt that I should acknowledge this (be rude not too!) so my little Owl has her crown on!!
I used a few things on this - The Owl Punch, the crown was from Tiny Tags and the papers are Springtime Vintage. I have used the Square Lattice embossing folder to add some texture to the Owl and the Scollop circle

The next card is for Sharon

The Owl Punch came in to use again (love that Owl!) To make the bunch of flowers I have used the Boho Blossom punch and some lovely pearls for the middle. I have used the Square Lattice to emboss the background.

I hope the girls like them and I am sorry they were late!

Artistic Etchings

Just a quick post as my boyfriend, Mark, is taking me out for a late valentines date - we are off to Barbican Kitchen which is part of James Tanner's restaurants and is lush. So we are going there for some lunch and then out for a few drinkies. So exctied!!

Here is alittle card made using the Artistic Etchings set which I am in love with. I made the back ground papers using the stamps and the Stamp-a-ma-jig and a little bit of vellum for the crown. Very pleased with how this has turned out!!

First Make and Take!

Well I had my first make and take class yesterday and it went very well! The ladies were lovely (if you reading this hello!!!) and we had some fun making two projects in the afternoon after some lovely lunch and a slice of cake - wish all my days were like that!!

Here is the first project which is a small pizza box which is fab if you have some small cards or a little pressi for someone and need a box for it to go in to (fab with valentines day coming up!!)

This has been made using the Punch Bunch stamp set, the paper is designer paper and the colours are rich razzleberry and old olive - think this combo is one of my favs at the moment!

We then went on to make this fun card! Again this is using the owl from the Punch bunch set and I have used the board of the stamp from the box and the little flowers is from the Tiny Tags set. I have used my punches to cut out the holes and the boards. I have added some little eyes to the owl inside to make him alittle bit more fun

I did send this card to Gemma, who is a memeber of our Jems - it was her birthday on Wed so I hope she got it in time and had a lovely birthday.

I think what I love the most about Stampin' Up is the stamp sets all work well together as well as all the lovely yummy colours!

The Punch Bunch set is a FREE set that you can receive for spending £45 - you only have till the end of feb to get this offer so get your orders in with me quick!!

Punch Card

Well today I have had another play! I found this lovely website with animals made out of punches. Now I haven't got all the punches so my cricut came in to use for the most of it but the end result is still very good! I have to say it probably would have been easier with the punches as its can be such a pain getting my cricut out and swapping between the cartridges to get the right shapes! Plus with the punches its much easier to use up scraps of paper. I am waiting for some punches to come with my order from Stampin' Up and cannot wait. Should have my starter kit next week aswell which I am really looking forward to!
I have made a little Lion for my card. He was easy to make but then it took me ages to decide how to put the card together and decide what sort of card he was going to be. He is now an valentines card - slightly different than your normal valentines card!

Right I am off to see if I still have my mojo and have a play with some other bits
Have fun xx

Pizza Box!

Well I have had a little play today. I am trying out some ideas ready for when my starter kit gets here from Stampin' Up - I already have some ladies waiting for me so thought it was best I start coming up with some idea's for a work shop!!
I like these little boxes for cards think they make nice little pressi's but also great to have on hand when you need a quick card. I have used a tutorial that I found here and I have used the Stampin' Up set Cheers to you - so simple to make and really looks lovely!

Take Care xx

Hello...

I have some exciting news for you.. I am going to be joining Stampin' Up and the lovely ladies of Julies Jems. I have been thinking about this for a little while and had a lovely chat with Julie and decided that I really want to give it ago and see how I get on - wish me luck!!

So for today I have been working on 2 cards today which I really liked when I made them but now I am not too sure. Oh well gave me an excuse to play with my new stamps!

I have used the Stampin' Up set 'Hello Again' using Real Red, Old Olive, Night of Navy and Daffodil Delight. The ribbon is a sample that Julie sent me but I am not sure what colour it is.

This was kinda taken from the Idea Book but I have slightly change it. Again I have used Stampin' Up 'Hello Again' and the 'Tiny Tags' stamp and punch. I have used the same colours again but the board on the side is Certainly Celery and Pretty in Pink. the paper is from the Designer Pack hostess level 1

Right off for a tidy up an to look through the stamps again to try and sort out what I want for my starting kit! Gosh its so hard to pick cause they are all so nice!

Stampin' Up!

For the last couple of months I have just started to use Stampin' Up products and I love them. They stamp so clear and the details on them is lovely. I have a couple of cards to share with you. Let me know what you guys think!

For these 3 cards I have used the Cheers To You set

I am not a lover of making Mens cards but stamp set is amazing for this! I have layered the middle beer up and added abit of sparkle to the top of the beers
Who's for Cocktails?! I have used abit of glossey accent on the glasses to make them look like glass and have layered up the cherry, the strawberry and the umbrella. I have used a stamp from trendy trees to do the back ground
Love this card! The paper is from the hostess level one. I have added abit of sparkle to the glasses and used the tiny tags set to add the labels

Well thats it for today!
